IDRIVE MOTORS LTD, company number 16683870, is responsible for the information described in this policy. Our registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. For privacy questions, email admin@idrivemotors.co.uk.
Information we collect
When you request an estimate, we collect the name, email address, UK telephone number, collection date, collection and delivery postcodes, vehicle registration or make and model, vehicle type, running status and any notes you provide. We may also receive technical information needed to secure and operate the website, such as request metadata processed by our hosting provider.
Why we use it
We use this information to calculate and respond to a transport estimate, manage enquiries, communicate about a potential booking, protect the form against misuse and maintain our business records. Our lawful bases are our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business and website, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. Where consent is requested through the form, we rely on that consent for the stated enquiry purpose.
Service providers and route data
The website is hosted using Cloudflare services. To calculate a route-based estimate, our server sends the collection and delivery postcodes to Postcodes.io for postcode geocoding and sends coordinates to the OSRM routing service to obtain route distances. We use the FormSubmit service to forward a quote enquiry to our business email recipient. These providers process the information required for those functions. We do not expose the FormSubmit endpoint in the browser.
Retention
We retain enquiry and estimate information only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage a potential booking, meet record-keeping obligations, resolve issues or protect legal rights. Retention periods may vary depending on whether an enquiry leads to a booking.
Sharing and transfers
We do not sell personal information. We may share it with service providers acting on our instructions, professional advisers, regulators or authorities where required by law, and other parties where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Service providers may process information outside the UK, subject to safeguards required by applicable data protection law where relevant.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, request portability, or withdraw consent. To exercise a right, contact us by email. You may also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Security and changes
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures appropriate to the nature of information processed. No online transmission or storage method is completely secure. We may update this policy from time to time by publishing a revised version on this page.
